Riding on the Colonial Parkway & on the Yorktown Battlefield Roads

August 09, 2016 7:36 AM | Sharon Bochman (Administrator)

It has come to my attention that two PBA riders were spotted riding two abreast on the Colonial Parkway.  The Colonial Parkway is owned by the National Park Service and it is ILLEGAL to ride two abreast on that road.  If a Park Ranger sees this, you WILL get a ticket.

If you want to ride on the Battlefield Roads in Yorktown, you need to stop by the Visitor's Center to get a pass or you are subject to a fine.  Active duty military personnel can get a pass for free.  They are offering a few dates where everyone can enter for free and it is on their website.  Go to https://www.nps.gov/york/planyourvisit/feesandreservations.htm to plan your visit.
